About

Caroline Kawabe is a graduate of Boston University, where she earned a B.S. in Public Relations with a minor in Journalism from the College of Communication. While at Boston University, she also took an interest in computer science and developed proficiency in Java, Python, and HTML. Originally from Huntington Beach, California, Caroline enjoys surfing, attending baseball and football games, and playing music in her free time.

Caroline currently works as an Event Producer at Craft Hospitality, where she produces and executes large-scale food and beverage festivals across the country. She began her career at Craft as an Event Production Intern and was promoted to a full-time Event Producer, taking on expanded responsibilities across event production, vendor management, logistics, and operations. Her experience in hospitality and events has allowed her to combine her love of working with people with her creative and communications background.

During her time at Boston University, Caroline wrote for the culture and fashion sections of The BU Buzz magazine and served on the executive board of Delta Gamma as Vice President of Membership and previously Vice President of Communications. She also served on the executive board of PRLab as Director of Internal Communications.

Caroline is a co-founder of the Shawn Elizabeth Kawabe Memorial Charity Fund, established in honor of her late mother, where she leads digital content creation and communications. She has also worked as a Communications and Marketing Intern at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, a Social Media Intern at Massachusetts General Research Institute, and a contributing writer for SeaCliff Living and HB Coastal magazines. Her writing has also been featured in The Pegasus Magazine through alumni profiles.

In summer 2023, Caroline held internships at Coco Robotics, where she worked in Marketing and Event Operations, and Meals on Wheels West, where she worked in Community Development and Operations.
