Caroline E. Kawabe
About
Caroline Kawabe is a rising senior at Boston University pursing a B.S. in Public Relations and a minor in Journalism within the College of Communication as well as a minor in Computer Science within the College of Arts and Sciences. From Huntington Beach, California, Caroline enjoys surfing, going to baseball games, and playing music outside of writing and photography. Currently, Caroline works as a Communications and Marketing Intern for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. At Boston University, she writes for the culture and fashion sections of The Buzz magazine and is on the executive board of the Delta Gamma sorority, serving as the VP of Membership and formerly the VP of Communications, as well as the executive board for PRLab, serving as the Director of Internal Communications. Additionally, she is a co-founder of and heads all digital content creation and communications for the Shawn Elizabeth Kawabe Memorial Charity Fund, created in honor of her late mother.
Caroline has worked as a a Social Media Intern at Massachusetts General Research Institute and a contributing writer for the SeaCliff Living and HB Coastal Magazines. She has also had alumni profiles published in The Pegasus Magazine. Last summer, Caroline held internships at Coco and Meals on Wheels West serving as a Marketing Events and Operations Intern and Community Ambassador, respectively.
